Terms and Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Divine Psychology® website and your booking, purchase and participation in services, programmes, assessments, workshops, experiences and other offerings provided by Divine Psychology. By using this website, making a booking, purchasing a service or participating in a Divine Psychology service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable South African law.
About Divine Psychology
Divine Psychology® is an integrative psychospiritual practice founded by Marion Sookdar. Our approach brings together psychology- and coaching-informed reflection with complementary and spiritual practices that may include Family Constellations, Usui Reiki Ryōhō, chromotherapy, transpersonal numerology and other reflective practices. Our services are intended to support self-reflection, personal development and wellbeing. Divine Psychology does not provide psychotherapy, psychological or psychiatric diagnosis, medical treatment or medical advice. Participation in a Divine Psychology service does not establish a psychologist-patient, psychotherapist-patient or medical practitioner-patient relationship.
Our Services
Divine Psychology may provide services including: Individual sessions and programmes; private Discovery Experiences; group experiences; online assessments and reflective tools; Reiki; Family Constellations; chromotherapy; transpersonal numerology; psychology- and coaching-informed reflection; workshops and talks; and journals, workbooks or other personal-development resources. The specific content, duration, format, price and inclusions of a service will be described on the relevant website, booking page, proposal or communication. Services may be provided online or in person.
Psychospiritual and Complementary Practices
Some Divine Psychology services incorporate spiritual, energetic, symbolic or complementary frameworks. These approaches are offered as part of a personal-development and reflective experience and should not be interpreted as scientifically established explanations of physical or psychological conditions unless expressly stated and appropriately supported. Experiences and interpretations vary between individuals. Divine Psychology does not guarantee that any participant will experience a particular emotional, physical, spiritual or personal-development outcome. You remain responsible for deciding whether a particular service or practice is appropriate for you.
Not Medical or Mental-Health Treatment
Divine Psychology services, assessments and website content are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical or mental-health condition. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric or other appropriately regulated professional care. You should not discontinue or alter medication, medical treatment, psychological treatment or other professional care based on information or experiences obtained through Divine Psychology. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, please seek appropriate professional or emergency assistance.
Assessments and Reflective Tools
Divine Psychology may provide assessments and reflective tools, including the Mind–Soul Alignment Assessment. These tools are designed for personal reflection and development. Assessment results may be generated using predetermined scoring and interpretive frameworks. They do not constitute psychological or psychometric assessment, psychological diagnosis, medical diagnosis or a prediction of future events. Results are interpretive rather than definitive. You remain responsible for how you interpret and use information provided through an assessment.
Bookings
All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed through the applicable booking and payment process. You are responsible for providing accurate contact, booking and other information reasonably required to provide the service. For online sessions, you are responsible for having an appropriate device, internet connection and sufficiently private environment. For in-person services, the applicable location and attendance information will be provided with your booking.
Payments
Prices will be displayed or communicated before purchase and will be stated in the applicable currency. Payment may be processed through Yoco, PayPal or another payment provider made available by Divine Psychology. Depending on the service, full payment, an initial payment or another agreed payment arrangement may be required. Where a payment plan has been agreed, you remain responsible for payments in accordance with that agreement. Payment processing may be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant payment provider.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances may change. Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Where at least 48 hours' notice is provided, an individual appointment may generally be moved to another available date, subject to the conditions applicable to the service purchased. Late cancellations and non-attendance may be subject to a reasonable cancellation charge. Any cancellation charge will be applied subject to applicable South African consumer law and may take into account factors such as the nature of the booking, the amount of notice provided and the reasonable possibility of filling the reserved appointment. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any cancellation, refund or other consumer right that applies to you under South African law.
Late Arrival
If you arrive late for a session, the session may still end at its originally scheduled time to avoid affecting other bookings. The full session fee may remain payable. Where Divine Psychology is responsible for a material delay or is unable to provide the booked session, reasonable arrangements will be made with you.
Programmes and Packages
Some Divine Psychology services are offered as programmes or packages consisting of multiple sessions or stages. The relevant programme description will specify what is included. Programme sessions should be completed within any period specified when the programme is purchased or within another period agreed between you and Divine Psychology. Where an offer allows you to attend an initial session before deciding whether to continue with a programme, the applicable price, payment arrangement and remaining balance will be communicated before purchase. Participation in or completion of a programme does not guarantee any particular emotional, relationship, career, financial, health, spiritual or other personal outcome.
Your Rights Under POPIA
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to: request confirmation of whether Divine Psychology holds personal information about you; request access to personal information held about you; request correction of inaccurate or outdated information; request deletion or destruction of information where legally applicable; object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; object to direct marketing; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. These rights are recognised under POPIA, although some rights are subject to legal exceptions and record-retention requirements.To exercise a privacy right, please contact Divine Psychology. We may need to verify your identity before providing, correcting or deleting personal information.
Group Experiences
Some Divine Psychology services may be provided to private groups. Depending on the offering, the person organising the experience may be responsible for coordinating participants and arranging payment. Participation in reflective exercises is voluntary. You may choose not to answer a particular question or participate in a particular activity. Participants are expected to respect the privacy and dignity of others. While Divine Psychology will encourage appropriate confidentiality, we cannot guarantee the conduct of other participants after a group experience. Participants should therefore respect the confidentiality of information shared by others.
Online Sessions
Online services may be delivered using Microsoft Teams or another appropriate online communication platform. Reasonable measures are taken to use reputable technology providers. However, internet-based services cannot be guaranteed to operate without interruption or technical difficulty. If a significant technical problem prevents a session from proceeding, reasonable arrangements will be made to continue or reschedule the session.
Oils and Other Physical Materials
Some services or programmes may include oils, journals, workbooks or other materials. Any complementary products are provided as part of the personal-development experience and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent a medical condition. Where a product is applied to the body, you are responsible for reviewing the ingredients and considering allergies, sensitivities or other relevant circumstances before use. Stop using a product if you experience irritation or an adverse reaction and seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Divine Psychology® name, branding, Psychospiritual Connection framework, assessment content, programme materials, exercises, written content, graphics, workbooks, videos and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Divine Psychology. Materials supplied to you are for your personal use unless otherwise agreed in writing. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish, commercially exploit, copy or substantially adapt Divine Psychology materials without prior written permission. Participation in a programme or purchase of a service does not transfer ownership of Divine Psychology intellectual property to you.
Website Content
We aim to keep information published on the Divine Psychology website reasonably accurate and current.
However, website content is provided primarily for general information and may be updated, amended or withdrawn.
Website content should not be treated as medical, psychological, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice.
Testimonials
Testimonials displayed by Divine Psychology describe the individual experiences of particular clients or participants. Experiences differ between individuals. Testimonials do not constitute a promise, warranty or guarantee that another person will experience the same or similar results.
Personal Responsibility
Psychospiritual and personal-development work may involve reflection on experiences, relationships, emotions, beliefs, family circumstances and other personal matters. You decide what information you wish to disclose and whether you wish to participate in a particular reflective activity. You remain responsible for your own decisions and actions following a session, programme, assessment or experience. Where an issue requires medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial or another form of regulated professional advice, you should consult an appropriately qualified professional.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Divine Psychology will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from reliance on general website information, reflective assessment results or voluntary personal-development materials. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by South African law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to waive a consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.
Privacy
Divine Psychology processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable South African data-protection legislation. The Privacy Policy explains the types of information we may collect, how it may be used, the third parties involved in processing information and your applicable privacy rights.
Third-Party Platforms
Divine Psychology may use third-party services including Wix, Jotform, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, Yoco and PayPal. These providers operate under their own terms, privacy policies and technical systems. Divine Psychology is not responsible for outages, interruptions or independent actions of third-party providers that are outside our reasonable control.
Pricing and Changes to Services
Divine Psychology may change its services, programme structures, availability and prices from time to time. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, a subsequent price change will not retrospectively change the agreed price of a service you have already purchased. Promotional, introductory or launch pricing may be available for a limited period and does not create an entitlement to the same price for future purchases.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices or legal obligations. The latest version will be published on the Divine Psychology website together with its effective or updated date.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising any right or remedy available under applicable South African law.
